The Curator of Horticulture is an integral member of the Wildlife Care and Ecology leadership team at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA). This role sets strategic direction and goals for the living plant collections on the DZCA campus and leads a team of horticulturists and arborists to ensure optimal plant health, sustainability, and guest experience. The scope of the role provides goals and oversight of activities both behind the scenes in greenhouses and production, as well as in front-of-house with plant collections in beds, planters, and animal exhibits. This position serves as the primary representative of the horticulture team and is a primary liaison for partners in the City of Denver Parks and Rec and Forestry department. The position will also facilitate cooperative work with Wildlife Health and Conservation team partners, including the Director of Nutrition and Director of Field Conservation.
