About The Position

Parametrix is seeking a Cultural Resources Leader to join their team in Oregon. This role will focus on building and enhancing the company's cultural resources presence in Oregon. The position reports to the Environmental Division Manager and will collaborate with existing Cultural Resources teams in other states. The role involves leading the development and growth of a cultural resources practice, including shaping services, strategy, and market presence. It is a client-facing position that combines business development, project management, and project delivery. The leader will serve as a technical and regulatory expert for cultural resources compliance, advising clients on strategy, risk management, and permitting. Additionally, the role includes building and mentoring a team, driving business development, and ensuring the quality and consistency of cultural resources work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Historic Preservation, Cultural Resources Management, or a closely related field required.
  • Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in Archaeology, History, Architectural History, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional cultural resources (CRM) experience, including experience leading and growing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cultural resources projects and managing scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local cultural resources regulations (e.g., NHPA Section 106, NEPA, state equivalents).
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical deliverables such as survey reports, evaluations, and mitigation documentation.
  • Proven cultural resources project experience in Oregon, including an established network of clients and working knowledge of state and local regulatory frameworks.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, supporting recruitment, development, and technical excellence.
  • Drive business development through client relationships, proposals, and collaboration with complementary service lines.
  • Oversee quality, consistency, and delivery of cultural resources work across projects and regions.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, practical solutions.
