About The Position

Ethos Cannabis is seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative Cultivation Technician to support the company's cultivation activities. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and is a collaborative team player but also a self-starter. Cultivation Technicians are responsible for assisting managers in the day-to-day functions of cultivation production areas, including propagation, cultivation, and harvest of cannabis plants. Successful candidates are energetic, detail-oriented, operational team players with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude. By closely following training and guidance, Cultivation Technicians take the daily actions that result in crop success and product quality. Minimizing miscommunications and taking concerns of other cultivation team members seriously ensures a safe and responsible workplace. Previous cannabis cultivation experience is not required. The role reports to the Cultivation Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Ability to work weekends/holidays
  • Ability to perform activities for up to 8 hours a day
  • Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
  • Must pass stringent background test requirements of Pennsylvania

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a commercial cannabis setting is beneficial but not necessary
  • Certification(s)/education in agricultural, horticultural, or botanical practices are beneficial but not necessary
  • Education in agriculture, horticulture, or botany is beneficial but not necessary

  • Environmental checks & ongoing observation
  • Cloning
  • Transplanting
  • Pruning
  • Trellising
  • Harvesting
  • Correctly utilizing appropriate checklists, logs, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures
  • Cleaning & sanitizing
  • Keep work and break areas free of clutter and debris
  • Ensure work uniforms are as clean as possible
  • Communicate effectively with others in cultivation and other departments
  • Update any personal information which may be required for contact, payment, benefits, tax purposes, or similar contained in an employee's personnel file
  • Other duties as assigned
