Requirements

  • a degree in horticulture or equivalent
  • Ability to spray
  • Ability to work physically and in hot environments
  • Creative thinking and good observational skills
  • Good critical thinking/logic
  • Excellent communication skills – working with people throughout the manufacturing process

Nice To Haves

  • A course or certification in the management and application of pesticides is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Identify pest insects and communicate data in a well-organized and clear manner
  • Identify fungal diseases in all stages of growth of cannabis plants
  • Mix pesticides as directed and ensure that the pesticide room clean and well organized
  • Operate machinery for the application of pesticides
  • Apply predatory insects according to instructions
  • Apply and monitor yellow sticky traps
  • Update any essential forms and take data as requested
  • Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Respect work procedures and practices, namely: health and safety, PPE, dress code
  • Comply with good manufacturing practices and operational procedures
  • Maintain a clean and secure working environment by keeping production spaces and equipment clean
