About The Position

We are looking for a Culinary Supervisor to lead our team of culinary stylists, ensuring the highest standards in food presentation and live show execution for our Cook & Dining business. As Supervisor, you will achieve results through others by setting direction, deploying resources, and managing daily operations in close partnership with Kitchen Leads and the Culinary Provisions Supervisor. You will report to our Sr. Manager of Culinary.

Requirements

  • Degree in Culinary Studies (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in live TV food production or culinary styling
  • at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Experience supervising and developing team members.
  • Proficiency with professional kitchen equipment and computer skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Some flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.

Nice To Haves

  • additional certifications in food science or related fields a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of culinary stylists, ensuring smooth production and operational support for all live and recorded segments.
  • Hire, train, and develop culinary stylists, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to foster growth and excellence.
  • Set clear priorities for the team to ensure timely and high-quality task completion, aligning with show schedules and business needs.
  • Coordinate work activities with Kitchen Leads and the Culinary Provisions Supervisor to ensure seamless workflow and resource allocation.
  • Establish goals and deadlines for team performance that directly support departmental plans and QVC's vision.
  • Problem-solve according to established policies and procedures, seeking guidance and oversight from the Senior Manager as needed.
  • Manage team performance, conducting regular check-ins, performance reviews, and supporting a culture of accountability and inclusion.
  • Promote a safe, high-quality, and inclusive work environment, ensuring all food styling and production activities meet QVC's standards.
  • Serve as the main contact for vendors, guests, and cross-functional partners, ensuring clear communication and collaboration for all culinary initiatives.
  • Oversee Culinary TSVs (Today's Special Value) and TSs (Today's Special) presentations, and celebrity brands and brand launches, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with QVC's brand strategy.
  • Uphold brand standards when working with Kitchen Leads to develop Scopes of Work and Demo plans, ensuring consistency and excellence in all culinary presentations.
  • Manage staffing for non-live production, including content, video, and social media requests, ensuring the right resources are allocated to support QVC's multi-platform culinary storytelling.
