About The Position

At New Perspective Senior Living, the Culinary Services Director provides overall leadership and management of food and beverage and dining services operations in the community. The role oversees procurement, preparation, and service of food according to the designated Menu Program; department financial management; and supervision and training of team members. The director ensures safe food handling and sanitation, inventory management and product rotation, accurate record keeping, and regulatory compliance. The role also builds resident and family engagement and uses strong communication and organizational skills to teach, develop, and inspire team members.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of regulations concerning food handling, food storage, food preparation, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• At least 3 years of successful management experience.
• At least 4 years of experience as a lead chef in a hospitality or restaurant environment.
• Culinary training and/or dietary certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the community’s food and beverage and dining services operations.
• Oversee procurement, preparation, and service of food in accordance with the designated Menu Program.
• Manage the department’s finances.
• Supervise and train team members.
• Ensure safe food handling and sanitation of food areas.
• Manage inventory and product rotation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Create and maintain strong resident and family engagement.
• Teach, develop, and inspire team members.
