About The Position

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking an experienced, people-focused Culinary Services Director at its Baton Rouge location to lead all aspects of the dining services operation. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for providing high-quality, nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for residents. The role includes leading and developing a culinary team, coordinating with clinical, operations, and activities teams, and improving resident satisfaction and quality of life.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of management experience in food service, hospitality, senior living, or healthcare.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of nutritional guidelines, special diets, and food service best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to remain focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dining services operations, including food quality, service, sanitation, and safety.
• Develop and implement menus that address residents’ nutritional needs, preferences, and special diets.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal food service, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dining services team members.
• Manage food and supply inventory while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas and kitchen spaces.
• Partner with the Activities team to plan special events and themed meals.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members to address feedback and concerns.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in service standards, presentation, and the overall dining experience.
