About The Position
Are you looking for a meaningful role where you can make a difference every day? Hillview Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Assistant to join our team in providing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in our long-term care setting.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow diet orders, instructions, and menus
- Strong understanding of sanitary food handling practices
- Reliable, respectful, and committed team player
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and safely
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working in varying temperatures
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must pass a background check under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law
Nice To Haves
- Experience in large-scale food service is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and serve a variety of foods
- Follow diet cards and special diet requirements
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control
- Wash dishes using automated or manual methods
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, labeling, and storing supplies
- Safely transport meal carts throughout the facility
- Uphold residents’ rights, confidentiality, and person-centered care
- Attend required trainings and follow all safety practices
