About The Position

Amangiri is seeking a dedicated J1 Culinary Intern to join our Culinary team. In this full-time role, you will prepare and present high-level food items while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You'll work closely with our talented chefs to deliver exceptional cuisine to guests and staff. This J1 Culinary internship is scheduled to begin in February 2027 until the first week of January 2028.

Requirements

Culinary degree or equivalent professional kitchen experience
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, holidays, and varied shifts
Food Safety Certification required
Highly organized and capable of working independently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with poise and precision
Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness
Sensitive to cultural diversity and hospitality standards
Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming standard
Ability to qualify for a J1 Visa in the United States for 12 months

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate your assigned kitchen station with precision and consistency
Execute prep tasks and food production as directed by the Sous Chef
Ensure all mise en place is complete and up to quality standards
Use proper recipes and presentation techniques to uphold culinary excellence
Communicate effectively with the Culinary leadership team about needs or issues
Accommodate guest dietary or special requests with attention to detail
Label, date, and store all food products properly at the end of shift
Keep your station and the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Collaborate with team members across all shifts to ensure continuity and quality
Maintain a professional demeanor and reflect the high standards of Aman
