Requirements

  • A Kitchen Dishwasher does not require any formal education.
  • A Kitchen Dishwasher is not required to have any related experience.
  • Must have the ability to follow verbal instructions, work independently, perform the physical duties of the job, and have a willingness to work shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machine for operations and maintain cleanliness of all machines, changing the water after each meal period.
  • Ensure all dishes, glasses and flatware are rinsed, washed (140º minimum) and sanitized properly (180º minimum).
  • Maintains chemical supplies in all areas and inventory levels by ordering from stock room according to venue specifications.
  • Wash and sanitize pots, pans and utensils in pastry and pantry areas, and kitchen.
  • Ensures all dishes are clean and stored in proper locations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping and mopping floors at least once a shift or as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by adhering to Public Health regulations.
  • Assist in monitoring quality by inspecting cleanliness of all dishes and report inconsistency problems to Supervisor.
  • Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, AGCO Regulations, Recycling Program and established Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides a quality customer service that meets NPC standards
  • Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission
  • Other duties as assigned by Venue Chef, Manager or Designate.
