About The Position

Eventide Fargo Senior Living Apartments in south Fargo, ND is seeking a Culinary Coordinator to work full time. This role assists the Director Nutrition and Culinary in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The Culinary Coordinator helps nurture a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring staff perform at a consistently high level. This role also works towards motivating employees, instilling accountability, and achieving results to drive success.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 2 year of cooking and/or supervisor experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree is preferred.
  • Completion of food safety and sanitation course or ability to become certified with ServSafe or similar program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares high quality meals according to standardized recipes while using and directing the use of accurate portion control standards.
  • Supervises the entire dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction of meal service.
  • Taking initiative and expressing creativity of culinary skills by driving change and enhancing the overall dining and restaurant experience.
  • Effective supervision of staff and overall function within dining throughout meal times and through day-to-day functions within the kitchen and dining room by assuring all dining assistants and cooks understand thorough expectations and are held accountable to the expectations.
  • Ensures that all dining rooms, kitchen, kitchenettes, and storage areas are clean, sanitized.
  • Checks all menus daily in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared as needed.
  • Follows food safe protocols by ensuring that food is stored, labeled, and handled appropriately.
  • Operates equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary and respectful manner.
  • Inventories and orders food products; ensuring adequate inventory of items on hand.
  • Placing all food and beverage orders accurately and on-time while assuring cost-effectiveness in the products being ordered.
  • Actively involved in Resident Food Council Meeting.
