About The Position

The Culinary Coordinator joins the Food & Beverage operations team at The Peninsula Chicago, a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The role provides administrative and operational support for the culinary team and designated managers, including handling inquiries, maintaining records, processing purchasing and vendor documents, and assisting with payroll administration. Previous experience in hospitality, culinary, food and beverage, or hotel operations is required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The pay rate is $28.43 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative role in a guest-focused company; hotel industry experience is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of administrative systems, including MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English with staff and management.
• Previous experience in hospitality, culinary, food and beverage, or hotel operations is required.
• Must have work authorization in the United States.

• Hotel industry experience.
• 1 year of experience using Birchstreet.

Responsibilities

• Complete and accurately handle all inquiry calls.
• Provide administrative support to a designated manager, including correspondence, mail, phone coverage, filing, and maintaining files.
• Coordinate and maintain employee training records for culinary team members.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
• Assist with payroll administration.
