About The Position

The Culinary Coordinator joins the Food & Beverage operations team at The Peninsula Chicago, a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue. The role provides administrative and coordination support for culinary operations, including responding to inquiry calls, supporting a designated manager, maintaining culinary team training records, processing purchasing and vendor documents, and assisting with payroll administration. The position offers opportunities to learn and grow within a diverse, multi-outlet property. The pay rate is $28.43 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative role in a guest-focused company; hotel industry experience is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of administrative systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English with staff and management.
• Previous experience in hospitality, culinary, food and beverage, or hotel operations.
• Must have work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Complete and accurately handle all inquiry calls.
• Provide administrative support for a designated manager, including correspondence, mail, phone coverage, filing, and maintaining files.
• Coordinate and maintain employee training records for culinary team members.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
• Assist with payroll administration.
