About The Position

Taste Buds Kitchen is seeking a high-energy, part-time Culinary Instructor to lead fun, engaging cooking classes and events for kids, families, and adults. The instructor teaches cooking and baking skills related to each class menu, creates a friendly and consistent guest experience, and is responsible for events from setup through cleanup. The role may involve working independently or managing culinary assistants for larger events, and requires maintaining a safe, clean environment and providing first aid or CPR if needed.

Requirements

Be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Have a passion for food and culinary entertainment.
Have an upbeat personality and strong communication skills with people of all ages.
Be confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques.
Be able to present and communicate clearly to large groups.
Have at least one year of experience entertaining children and/or adults.
Be CPR certified.
Be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Formal culinary education or equivalent experience.
Formal teaching, training, or childhood development experience.

Responsibilities

Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for guests ages 2–99.
Teach guests cooking and baking skills related to the class menu.
Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for guests.
Manage events successfully from start to finish.
Interact with guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work independently or manage and supervise culinary assistants for larger events.
Set up before class and clean up afterward.
Maintain a controlled, safe, and clean environment.
Provide first aid or CPR treatment if needed.
