Enhances and improves the SRI Management experience specifically in Artful Dining for residents, families, and guests. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the golden rule. Under general supervision, assists with food preparation and serving by performing various duties. This role involves assisting with food preparation according to the established menu, following departmental procedures for sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules, and proper cleaning and storing of dishes. The position also includes serving residents in the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, cleaning the kitchen, food service equipment, and food storage areas, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Daily general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room are required. The role emphasizes ensuring and supporting a dignified and caring atmosphere, responding promptly and courteously to resident and family requests, and communicating effectively. Maintaining a safe and secure working environment, practicing good body mechanics and safe working habits, and observing and reporting safety hazards are crucial. The employee must know, understand, and follow established policies and procedures in emergency situations, work as a team player, and demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude towards work issues, policies, procedures, residents, families, visitors, associates, and management. Compliance with attendance and call-off policies, attending trainings and meetings, and wearing appropriate dress are also required. The employee must refrain from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors and refer inquiries to their supervisor, and must know, understand, and follow HIPAA regulations. Assisting with training new employees and taking initiative in work, seeking additional information, offering solutions, and taking on special projects are also part of the role. All other reasonable duties as assigned or requested will be performed.
