About The Position

Buckner Retirement Services Community: Calder Woods is seeking a Culinary Server to join their community in Beaumont, TX. This role involves delivering outstanding food to residents and playing an important part in all phases of food preparation, ensuring Buckner's quality, service, and hospitality standards are met or exceeded. The server will contribute to inspiring happiness in the lives of residents.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Current Food Handlers Certificate
Minimum one-year related experience
Requires the ability to read, write, and understand business documents which are written in English.
Requires ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Requires ability to make self clearly understood by others.
Requires knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.

Responsibilities

Set tables; bus tables, wash off tables after meals.
Responsible for preparing beverages and food as required.
Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as required.
Serve beverages to residents as required.
Blend food in electric blender; prepare steam table.
Prepare hot cart and serve food; clean and sanitize carts.
Wash dishes; scrape and rack dishes; sort, stack, store clean dishes.
Mop, sweep, and clean work area.
Take out trash.
Wrap silverware.
Receive and store groceries, frozen foods, produce, etc.; date and rotate canned goods.
Detect, correct, and/or report situations that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to residents or others.
