About The Position

Our Lady of Consolation, a member of Catholic Health, is a leader in quality-driven care, offering Long Term, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing services. Located on the Great South Bay, the facility includes a 345-bed nursing and rehabilitative care center. Requirements

Demonstrated ability to understand and follow dietary extensions, dietary orders / restrictions / food consistencies according to tray cards and work assignments.
Engage with patients and residents we serve is a respectful and professional manner.
Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Chefs/Kitchen Manager.
Perform cleaning procedures and keep area and equipment in sanitary condition.
Must show a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
Must be able to measure and mix cleaning agents and chemicals.
Possess good motor skills and manual dexterity required for various work routines such as preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes operating dietary equipment and cleaning work area.
Must be able and willing to work flexible hours, to accommodate changes due to culture change implementations.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Food Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Be a collaborative member of the dietary team to provide excellent food service delivery to residents and patients.
