About The Position

As a Construction Testing Services Intern, you will perform light to moderate labor-intensive field and lab duties and testing under the direction of other technicians or staff professionals with minimal analysis of data required. This is a seasonal position and will work out of the Cranston, RI location with occasional local travel within RI and MA.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and clean record, driving company vehicle(s) is/are required
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Google docs
Ability to obtain certifications from OSHA, NICET, NETTCP, ICC and ACI within first year of employment is required

Responsibilities

Perform field and occasional lab testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications.
All testing reports and observations must be tabulated and submitted daily in an electric report
Reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and entering data related to the various job tasks.
You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order.
Interact with construction personnel, engineers and state and federal representatives while presenting yourself as a professional representative of the company.
Responsible for transporting material samples to laboratory for further testing and analysis
Driving and maintaining the appearance and operation of company vehicles to and from job sites.
All work with be conducted in accordance with OSHA regulations and TEI Safety standards
