About The Position

Sacred Heart University is seeking a CTL Tutor to provide outside of the classroom instruction, writing, and other academic support for students. This role involves tutoring students individually or in group sessions, facilitating skills labs and workshops, maintaining confidential records, and utilizing learning materials. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Demonstrated knowledge in subject field.
• Highly effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with various software and technology tools, including learning management systems, scheduling platforms, and online communication tools.
• Experience working in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Tutors' students individually or in scheduled group study sessions to review principles, solve problems, review for tests, and provide positive and constructive feedback.
• Facilitates reading, writing, and academic skills labs and workshops to develop writing, math, word processing, study, and other academic skills.
• Maintains and updates confidential files and records, ensuring that ethical and legal guidelines are maintained.
• Utilize learning materials, textbooks, software, and equipment to facilitate tutoring; may design specific handouts, study, and related materials in collaboration with academic departments.
