About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Lincoln High School. The CTE Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to facilitate a dynamic learning environment, assist with instructional activities, and promote student engagement in various vocational and technical subjects. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences and career readiness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in CTE or vocational programs, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and educational software relevant to CTE instruction.
  • Knowledge of various career and technical education pathways and industry standards is a plus.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting student success and engagement.
  • Must pass background checks and any other requirements as mandated by the school district.
  • Ability to lift and move educational materials and equipment as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist CTE teachers in the preparation and delivery of instructional materials and lesson plans.
  • Support students in hands-on learning activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
  • Provide individualized and small group instruction to reinforce skills and concepts.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
  • Help maintain a well-organized classroom and assist with the management of classroom resources and equipment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to CTE education.
  • Assist in the administration of assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a supportive educational environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the CTE program and school community.
