About The Position

Plans, organizes and delivers the program of instruction based on approved curriculum; monitors, evaluates, and communicates student progress; maintains records and makes reports; enforces Board policies, regulations, and rules; supervises students, and secures and maintains school property and materials.

Requirements

  • Kentucky certification and endorsements appropriate to the technical program assignment.
  • Successful and appropriate occupational experiences and academic preparation approved and required by the Board and Kentucky Administrative Regulations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Applicant must be a US Citizen with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Four (4) years of successful and appropriate occupational experience in the teaching area.
  • At least two (2) years of the occupational experience completed within the last five (5) years.
  • Hold a professional teaching certification for the appropriate course code as listed under https://applications.education.ky.gov/SCCD/Home/Index OR Meet Occupation-based teaching requirements (see attached Occ Based CTE Requirements and Hiring Procedures document)
  • See: 16 KAR 2:020 Occupation-based career and technical education certification
  • Issuance of one year Provisional Certificate; completion of three (3) semester hours of credit in the occupational area OR successfully completing the New Teacher Institute (NTI)

  • Experience in a diverse workplace
