About The Position

The CTE Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and identifying qualified students for Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. This role involves implementing presentations and on-site visitations for prospective candidates, maintaining communication with home schools and parents regarding student progress, and assisting teachers with daily classroom issues and attendance for CTE students. The coordinator also provides career-related presentations and activities, acts as a mentor to the student CTE population, and supports CTE instructors with program requirements like Program Advisory Committee Meetings, Program Certification, and Accreditation. Additionally, the role involves coordinating and supporting the SkillsUSA chapter at Robert D. Stethem Educational Center. This is a 12-month, non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with middle and high school students.
  • Knowledge of Career Technical Education.
  • Experience and knowledge in career exploration and development of college and career plans.
  • Knowledge of current practices in family involvement.
  • Exemplary human relations skills.
  • Exemplary organizational, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Publisher, Word, and Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work closely with guidance community, assistant principals and parents.
  • Capacity to perform routine clerical procedures

  • Support CTE instructors with program requirements such as Program Advisory Committee Meetings, Program Certification, and Accreditation.
  • Coordinate and support the chapter of SkillsUSA at Robert D. Stethem Educational Center.
  • Other duties as assigned.
