About The Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform computed tomography (CT) scans and X-ray examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The role involves operating imaging equipment, positioning and preparing patients, reviewing images for quality, and following radiation safety and infection control procedures. The technologist will document imaging procedures in the Cerner EMR system, monitor equipment performance, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. This is a 13-week contract assignment in Vail, Colorado, with a schedule of three 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The stated pay range is $55–$60 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist.
Current ARRT (CT) certification.
Current ARRT (R) certification.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Experience using the Cerner EMR system.
Strong knowledge of CT imaging, diagnostic radiography, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

Perform CT scans and X-ray examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Operate CT scanners and X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Review images for quality and completeness before submitting them for interpretation.
Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain appropriate radiation protection measures.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the Cerner EMR system.
Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Follow infection control procedures and departmental policies.
