About The Position

MercyOne is hiring a full-time CT Technologist for the evening shift. The role offers comprehensive training and is described as friendly to new graduates, including applicants without prior CT experience. The position works four 10-hour days, typically from 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with either Monday or Friday off each week. The technologist participates in the weekend and call rotation every fifth weekend and the holiday rotation one to two holidays per year, and helps cover night shifts when the night technologist is on paid time off. Relocation may be available depending on location. A $7,500 sign-on incentive is available for CT Tech professionals across Iowa.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (ARRT or NMTCB).
• Maintain active registry status.
• Maintain a current Permit to Practice Radiology Technologist License in the state of employment.
• Provide proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three months of hire.
• Maintain Basic Life Support qualification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous CT experience.
• CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB).

Responsibilities

• Interpret clinical information efficiently and meet patients’ radiology needs in coordination with the clinical team.
• Use thorough and accurate imaging techniques and position patients according to the imaging order.
• Closely monitor radiation exposure time and activity.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to help avoid equipment failures.
