About The Position

The CT Technologist prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them to capture the images requested by a physician. The role operates CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissue for diagnosing medical conditions. The position is with HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, a hospital serving the north Houston community.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
• Current ARRT (R) certification.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain diagnostic procedures to patients and prepare them for imaging.
• Position patients to capture the images requested by a physician.
• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue.
• Demonstrate the competencies listed on the Competency Validation Checklist(s).
• Meet mutually agreed-upon annual performance goals and objectives listed on the Performance Evaluation.
