About The Position

Under the direction of the Medical Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist is responsible for the timely and efficient operation of the CT scanner and the workflow process as well as patient safety. Performs the OEM mandated quality control. Coordinates scheduling with Central Registration personnel. Coordinates with other modalities for efficient patient throughput. In addition to preforming the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned to other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Two years working as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.R.T.).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State of California.
  • Registered CT Technologist with ARRT, or will receive certification in Computed Tomography within one year from date of hire as CT Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years Computed Tomography experience.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and efficient operation of the CT scanner and workflow process.
  • Ensuring patient safety.
  • Performing OEM mandated quality control.
  • Coordinating scheduling with Central Registration personnel.
  • Coordinating with other modalities for efficient patient throughput.
  • Adjusting to add-on and emergency procedures.
  • Organizing time efficiently.
  • Communicating with patients and families of various age groups by modifying the delivery and complexity of information based on age.
  • Competently operating CT scanner in accordance with ALARA principles and hospital protocols.
  • Operating power injectors, Teleradiology System, DR Systems, (PACS), Centricity (RIS), EPIC.
