The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT scans and post-processing according to established clinical protocols, guidelines, and department operating procedures. This role involves patient transport, assisting with patient transfers, and monitoring patient condition during procedures. The technologist will collaborate with radiologists to tailor protocols, ensure correct patient identification and history verification, and operate support equipment. They are also accountable for maintaining good customer relations, obtaining pertinent patient history, documenting and charging for supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Keeping abreast of new developments in CT technology and sharing knowledge with staff and students is also a key responsibility. The role requires coordinating patient schedules for efficient utilization of CT equipment and personnel.
