About The Position

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team at Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN! This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the evening shift during the week (8 hour shifts) with a weekend rotation (12 hour shifts) every 5th weekend. Schedule is subject to change depending on department needs. Being a small facility, all positions may need to work a night shift to cover vacations and LOA's for our night staff. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience. The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Requirements

  • ARRT Radiology Tech
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in a related role
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
  • Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
  • Ensures patient data integrity
  • Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
  • Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
