About The Position

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist operates all CT equipment in the Radiology Department, which produces cross-sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissue that are used to properly diagnose medication conditions. The CT Technologist follows the CT Low Dose Image Optimization and ALARA principles and standards. This employee is responsible for supporting the radiologist by assisting with specialized exams, notifying the radiologist of STAT exams, and producing quality images to aid in an accurate diagnosis. The CT Technologist prepares and performs CT exams while demonstrating efficiency, professionalism, compassion and respect. They must demonstrate effective communication with all customers and the population served. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification required.
  • ARRT CT certification required.
  • California CRT license required.
  • Current BLS card.
  • IV certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved program as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) preferred.
  • Experience as a Radiology/CT Technologist in acute care setting preferred.
