About The Position

Operates Computed Tomography equipment, prepares for examinations, and ensures that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis. Administers routine, emergency, and special CT procedures, producing high-quality images while minimizing patient stress and exposure. Provides patients with information and explanations about examinations, verifies patient identification, processes and reformats images as required, and networks images to PACS. Performs clerical and technical duties, including maintaining logs, posting charges, and computer data entry. Assists with orienting and training new technologists and performs related duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum five years of special procedures radiologic technologist experience.
• Ability to use a Radiology Information System, PC, and computer-controlled radiographic equipment such as a CT scanner and laser camera.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
