About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join our CT Department at Baptist Clay in Flemming Island, Florida. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity. At Baptist, our CT Technologists are dedicated to delivering high quality imaging services, ensure both the comfort and safety of patients, and will thrive in a collaborative environment. Additional responsibilities of our CT technologists include operating and calibrating of GE equipment, preparing patients for their procedures which include administering IV contrast & patient positioning, providing clear explanations & education about the process, and ensuring the compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Vocational School or Associate's Degree
- Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- If hired, must pass certification in Computed Tomography from the ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Radiology Experience Preferred
- Experience working in a hospital setting Preferred
- Customer Service Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing high quality (CT) procedures in accordance to established protocols and guidelines
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams
- Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance
- Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards
- Educate patients on the CT process and answer any patient questions
