Heywood Healthcare values its employees and offers competitive wages, great benefits, and generous earned time off. This is a Per Diem position, as needed, with all shifts available. The role involves conducting interactions with everyone in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner, advocating for privacy and confidentiality, and maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment. The technologist must respond appropriately in emergency situations and ensure compliance with regulations for accreditation and licensure. A key responsibility is assuring high-quality CT and Mammography scans with accurate demographic information, proper image density, contrast, and reconstructed images. This includes performing daily QA for both CT and Mammography, operating the hospital PACS system for image transmission, and coordinating studies between servers. The role also requires reviewing physician orders, accurately entering data into the Meditech Computer System, and maintaining a safe environment for patients, especially children and the elderly, by being aware of fall risks and ensuring accessibility of assistive devices. Sensitivity to the needs of older patients, including potential hearing difficulties and reduced endurance, is also important. The technologist must be able to correctly interpret verbal and nonverbal responses, manage pain, and ensure the physical security of children.
