The CT Technologist will work in a Level II trauma hospital setting, performing Computed Tomography procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires the ability to independently acquire proper exams, operate all CT equipment, and adapt techniques and positions for various age groups including pediatric, geriatric, febrile, and critical acute care patients. The technologist will serve outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department patients in a high-volume environment, handling acute, chronically ill, trauma, and stroke patients. Responsibilities include exam room presentation, patient transportation, data entry into the Radiology Information System, scheduling, patient education, obtaining necessary orders and paperwork for billing and records, and communicating with medical staff. The role also involves maintaining knowledge of PACS, reporting equipment malfunctions, and adhering to all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
