About The Position

Join International SOS Government Medical Services and support critical healthcare operations in a mission-driven overseas environment. We are seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in Iraq while working alongside dedicated medical professionals. International SOS Government Medical Services provides healthcare and medical support solutions for government and military operations worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to support meaningful healthcare operations in a unique international setting while working with experienced multidisciplinary medical teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Radiologic Technologist experience, including 6 months within the last year.
  • Current unrestricted radiologic technologist license or ARRT certification required.
  • Current ARRT CT certification/registration required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Graduate of an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a diploma, certificate, or associate degree.
  • U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may satisfy education requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging procedures.
  • Must read, write, and speak English.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder required.
  • Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months remaining before expiration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the assignment duration.
  • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on military installations or government healthcare contracts.
  • Prior government subcontractor or prime contractor experience.
  • Active U.S. Government clearance preferred.
  • Experience supporting emergency response or mass casualty exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ordered X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
  • Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure settings.
  • Use immobilization devices and proper positioning techniques.
  • Explain procedures and respond to patient questions.
  • Document imaging services in EMR and department records.
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Use shielding devices and proper exposure techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Follow contrast media and emergency response protocols when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in mass casualty exercises and emergency response activities.
  • Complete required compliance and regulatory training.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed.
