About The Position

The CT Technologist PRN is responsible for performing CT scans and providing patient care within the Radiology Department at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. This role operates in a team-based environment that emphasizes lean principles and individual performance. The technologist will explain procedures, position patients, assess patient conditions, operate and maintain equipment, and adjust technical factors. They are also expected to maintain and enhance their technical skills and perform any assignment deemed necessary by their supervisor.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required
CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
1 year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT-CT required or no experience w/ARRT-CT required
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/no radiology technician exp) upon hire required Or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/1 year radiology technician exp) 12 months required
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (either by the TDH or TMB) upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions
Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions
Adjusts technical factors
Operates, cares for and maintains equipment
Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor
