About The Position
Sentara is currently hiring a CAT Scan Technologist II in Halifax, Virginia. This is a Full-Time, Night shift opportunity with great benefits. A 30K bonus is available to qualified candidates. As a CAT Scan Technologist, you will provide quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.
Requirements
- Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology
- ARRT or CNMT is required
- BLS
- Must obtain ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire
Responsibilities
- Performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician
- Provides patient and family education
- Operates equipment safely
- Completes department documentation
- Maintains all equipment to be clean and operational
- Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations
- Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines
- Administration of CT Contrast per protocol
