About The Position

The CT Technologist II performs CT exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures. This role involves preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort. The technologist is responsible for completing all paperwork and submitting images to a radiologist in a timely manner, as well as reviewing CTs to ensure optimum quality. Requirements

  • Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program
  • CPR Certification required
  • Advanced CT Certification required
  • Previous CT Technologist experience – at least 5 years preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
  • Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
  • Complete all paperwork and submit images to a radiologist in a timely manner
  • Review CT's to ensure optimum quality
