About The Position

Sentara is currently hiring a CT Technologist II at the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a Full-Time, Rotating shift that requires on-call rotations 1 of every 5 weeks. As a CAT Scan Technologist II, you will perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT-guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician; provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely; complete department documentation; maintain all equipment to be clean and operational; maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Provides quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician; provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines. Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.

Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT or CNMT is required
  • Basic Life Support
  • Advanced CT registry in ARRT or CNMT to be obtained within two (2) years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions)
