About The Position

This is a dual role position for a CT Technologist/Radiology Tech at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, GA. The role involves performing radiographic and CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring independent judgment and initiative. The technologist will perform routine CT scans on a diverse patient population and assist the radiologist in special procedures like biopsies and drain tube placements, as well as performing angiography studies.

Requirements

Must be ARRT Xray AND CT registered
Graduate of formal Radiographic technology training in an AMA-Approved school.
One year experience as x-ray/CT Tech in hospital environment.

At least 1yr experience as a CT Tech to be eligible for the Sign on Bonus

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
Perform routine CT scans on pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and trauma patients.
Assist the radiologist in special procedures such as biopsies, drain tube placements, injections, and markings.
Performing angiography studies of the brain, neck, and chest with 3D reformats
