About The Position

Pomerene Hospital, a 25-bed rural critical access hospital in Millersburg, Ohio, is seeking a CT/Radiology Technologist to join their day shift team. This role is responsible for the operation of the CT scanner, producing quality CT images, and providing patient care. When not operating the CT scanner, the technologist will work in general radiology, including mammography or bone density if applicable. The position also involves clinical instruction of radiography students. Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.
Completion of an Accredited Program in Radiology Technology required.
Must be eligible for State of Ohio Licensing process.
ARRT required.

Responsibilities

Operates the CT scanner, including patient care and quality control to produce quality CT images.
Performs general radiology exams (mammography or bone density, if applicable) when not needed in CT.
Provides clinical instruction to radiography students during their rotations in the Radiology Department.
Moves throughout the facility, assists in emergency drills, and performs physical requirements to deliver services.
Performs CT exams and radiologic exams under the direction of a physician.
Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians, and ancillary departments.
Adheres to all hospital and department policies and procedures.

Supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with patient consent.
Includes PSP / family member in explanations/discussions of testing, procedures, and discharge instructions when applicable.
Assists with department operations as assigned by supervisor.
