Requirements

  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology and/or NMTCB (CNMT) registered and documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required.
  • Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography required within one year of hire date.
  • Minimum of three months experience in CT Scan.
  • American Heart Association CPR required.
  • Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
  • ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required.
  • VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities.
  • Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands.
  • Frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, sitting.
  • Occasional (0-33% of workday) bending and squatting.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Auditory and visual skills to include color determination.
  • Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Capacity to cope with difficult situations.
  • Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals.
  • Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • For MRI Associates: Must complete MRI Associate screening and be approved to work in the MRI environment (Zones 3 & 4) at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic CT exams.
  • Provide diagnostic X-Ray exams.
