Requirements

ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology.
Completion of accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (or equivalent).
VA State Radiologic Technologist License for outpatient facilities ONLY.
American Heart Association CPR.
Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands.
Frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, sitting.
Occasional (0-33% of workday) bending and squatting.
Ability to lift 35 lbs.
Ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.
Auditory and visual skills to include color determination.
Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
Capacity to cope with difficult situations.
Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures on inpatient and outpatient settings.
Operate and maintain radiology equipment.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
Cope with difficult situations.
Tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Work in environments with risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals.
Handle potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
For MRI Associates: Complete MRI Associate screening and be approved to work in the MRI environment (Zones 3 & 4) at all times.
