About The Position

The CT/Radiology Tech Dual Role is a full-time second-shift position at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia. Under the direction of a Radiologist, the technologist performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision of technical details. The role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.

The technologist performs routine CT scans for pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and trauma patients; assists the radiologist with special procedures, including biopsies, drain tube placements, injections, and markings; and performs angiography studies of the brain, neck, and chest with 3D reformats.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to candidates with at least one year of CT Tech experience. Requirements

• ARRT CT registered or eligible to sit for the CT registration.
• ARRT X-ray registered.
• Graduate of formal radiographic technology training at an AMA-approved school.
• One year of experience in a hospital environment in CT is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, without constant supervision of technical details.
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis using independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Perform routine CT scans on pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and trauma patients.
