About The Position

This is a seasonal position for a CT/X-Ray Technologist at Critical Access Hospitals in Cut Bank and Chester, Montana. It offers an opportunity to work independently, build relationships with patients and providers, and make a direct impact in rural healthcare communities. The role involves performing both CT and diagnostic X-Ray studies, providing a diverse mix of imaging responsibilities and close collaboration with healthcare teams. The position includes an on-call rotation and may involve coverage at either facility based on operational needs. The average monthly volumes are approximately 35-74 CT exams and 92-140 X-Ray exams per month, depending on the facility.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Montana Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
CT registration through ARRT, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
Current BLS certification (RQI Provider) within seven days of hire or before independent patient care
Comfortable working independently
Organized and detail-oriented

Nice To Haves

Previous CT and diagnostic imaging experience preferred
IV insertion experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations in accordance with department protocols, ACR standards, and ALARA principles
Perform diagnostic X-Ray examinations across a variety of patient populations
Obtain patient histories and assess exam appropriateness
Prepare patients for procedures, including IV starts and contrast administration as applicable
Review physician orders, prior imaging, laboratory results, and clinical history
Maintain patient safety and radiation safety standards
Perform daily equipment checks and department opening and closing procedures
Assist with supply management and quality assurance activities
Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and patients
Document exams accurately and completely
