About The Position

The CT Tech/Rad Tech will provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services. Services will be provided at dates and times assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services. This role may encompass out-patient, inpatient, urgent care, and emergency room departments. The CT Tech will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations, and is responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. The CT Tech works closely with radiologists and the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury. The CT Tech will perform proper radiologic CT examinations for images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist. The CT Tech will deliver appropriate and timely imaging services in accordance with the Standards of Care established by the recognized diagnostic imaging department and in accordance with the policies and procedures. The CT Tech is responsible for completing clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Digital Radiology).
  • Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology.
  • Current BLS certification.
