About The Position

As a PRN Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will work with a team of 2 board-certified CT surgeons, prioritizing patient care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with 11 cardiologists (including 4 interventional cardiologists and 1 EP specialist, with a second EP joining), and 3 vascular surgeons. The practice offers full-spectrum care and is dedicated to high-quality patient experiences. This role offers a competitive daily rate, with all travel, lodging, and medical malpractice expenses covered. You will practice at Intermountain Health: St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, joining a well-respected, established group of Heart & Vascular providers. The program is supported by 4 experienced surgical PAs who assist in the OR, hospital, and ambulatory clinic. The clinic is conveniently located adjacent to the hospital. EPIC EMR is utilized system-wide. This position presents excellent opportunities for mentorship, leadership, program expansion, professional growth, and program support, all within a great team dynamic. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a Certified Stroke Center, and an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. The OR is equipped with one hybrid and one biplane operating suite.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
Residency or Fellowship trained in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
Active, unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
Passion for CT surgery.
