About The Position

This position is for a CT Scan Technologist at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL. The role involves a 100% FTE schedule with a day/evening shift, working 4 X 10s Monday-Friday, every third weekend from 2p-10:30p, with rotating call and holidays. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Additional compensation components may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. Requirements

  • Completed an accredited radiologic technology program, a recognized military radiologic technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting.
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Certification by ARRT in Radiology or current NMTCB certification.
  • CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire.
  • Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a hospital radiographer and CT technologist.
  • Two years of clinical experience.
  • CT certification within 24 months of hire.
  • ARRT certification in CT.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images.
  • Position patients correctly for CT scans.
  • Administer contrast media as required.
  • Monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
