About The Position

Under general supervision of the CT Manager, Lead CT Technologists, and the Imaging Coordinator according to established procedures, operates a CT scanner and related equipment in order to produce radiographs of any designated anatomical area. All essential functions performed in the position reflect age specific needs of the geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. Fosters patient and family centered care and nursing services in accordance with the Brown University Health mission, vision, and values, with consideration of the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns. Requirements

  • Must hold a RI state Radiology license and CT supplemental license from the DOH.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
  • Must hold a current CPR certification from AHA, BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required, plus registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists.
  • Six months' experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital radiology department, plus six months specialized training in the operation of the CT Scanner.
