An exciting Casual, Technologist, CT opportunity exists in our Medical Imaging Department. This is a new position. The role involves performing X-Ray and CT imaging procedures and quality assurance, communicating with team members and management, participating in professional development, teaching and educational activities, mentoring, and performing other duties related to the job classification as required. The technologist will maintain current knowledge of and utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to view, manipulate, and archive digital medical images. They will operate, troubleshoot, and ensure medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing effectively and efficiently. Maintaining high standards of practice and excellence in patient care is crucial. The role requires understanding Hospital and departmental policies and procedures to provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures that improve technical quality. Adherence to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements, while maintaining patient confidentiality, is expected. Performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned or requested is also part of the role. As a role model and champion, the technologist will identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.
