Requirements

  • ARRT Certification required.
  • Illinois State IEMA Certification required within six months of hire.
  • Current ARRT Certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Illinois State IEMA Certification required within six months of hire.
  • Patient-focused and compassionate.
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and image quality.

Nice To Haves

  • CT Registry preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a staff technologist preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and digital X-ray procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Explain procedures and answer patient questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards during all imaging procedures.
  • Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking while performing technical procedures.
  • Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Assist with routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
